Generative AI Policies
Authors are required to disclose the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) or AI-assisted technologies in the preparation and writing of their manuscripts. This policy specifically applies to the use of AI in the writing process and does not cover the use of AI tools for data analysis or the development of research findings.
- Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies may only be used to improve the readability, language, grammar, sentence structure, and overall clarity of the manuscript.
- The use of AI must remain under the direct supervision and responsibility of the authors. Authors are required to carefully review, verify, and edit all AI-generated content, as such tools may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased information. Authors remain fully responsible and accountable for the accuracy, originality, and content of their manuscript.
- Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies must not be listed as authors or co-authors, because authorship involves academic, ethical, and legal responsibilities that can only be undertaken by human authors.
When Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies are used during the writing process, authors must include a declaration of AI use at the time of initial manuscript submission. This declaration will be retained in the published article and should appear in a separate section immediately before the references.
Recommended Declaration Format

During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL/SERVICE] for [PURPOSE OF USE]. Following the use of this tool/service, the author(s) carefully reviewed, verified, and edited the generated content as necessary. The author(s) assume full responsibility and accountability for the final content and version of the published article.
The use of basic tools, such as grammar and spelling checkers or reference management software, does not require disclosure. If no Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in preparing the manuscript, no declaration is required.
Use of AI in Peer Review and Editorial Processes
To protect the confidentiality of manuscripts, the integrity of the editorial process, and the intellectual property rights of authors, the journal currently prohibits editors and reviewers from using Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies, including ChatGPT, during the peer-review and manuscript evaluation process.
The journal may review and update this policy in the future in accordance with developments in AI technology and the availability of AI tools that meet appropriate standards of confidentiality, research integrity, and publication ethics.
